Why Cast Aluminium?
- It reduces heating costs by 25-30% by lowering natural gas consumption.
The operating principle of radiators is based on heating the water inside the radiator with energy from natural gas to warm the room.
The greater the amount of water in the heating system and in the radiator, the greater the amount of natural gas required to heat this water.
Because there is less water inside an aluminium radiator, less natural gas is used to heat this amount of water. Since the same amount of heat is transferred with less water, less natural gas is consumed and greater cost benefit is achieved.
While there is 0.30 litre of water in 1 section of New-Generation NOTARAD Aluminium Radiators (approximately 3.75 litres per 1 linear metre), a steel radiator contains 6.80 litres per 1 linear metre. Thus, in environments where New-Generation NOTARAD Aluminium Radiators are used, natural gas consumption decreases because the required room temperature can be achieved with lower water temperatures.
Among the materials used in radiator manufacturing (steel, sheet, iron, aluminium, etc.), the material that provides the best heat transfer (thermal conductivity 4 times higher than steel), heats up faster and adapts more quickly to temperature changes in the environment is aluminium.
